on my home lake the ski club runs the show and they hate ANY natural cover or trees in water and will have the CA go around and pull up the good cover they see on shoreline. had one spot where a tree fell in water and was uber productive for a couple of seasons and then one day we went there and skill club had pulled it up and removed it! even tho it wasn't in the traffic lanes or in the way at all.

it is quite common for HOA set ups and other types of private waters to get fed a bunch of poo about how to take care of their water .
i recently saw a scenario where a "pro" told a high dollar HOA the lake was over populated , total horse dung for sure and just trying to get that money , told them they needed to electro shock most of the fish in there out of it and start over !
It is as I type getting messed up bad , and the REALLY sad part is there WAS NOT a thing wrong with any of the BIG fat fish we "were" ketchn in there !
Dont get me started , another private lake I love has a ding dong manager of the HOA removing all the shoreline cover and dumping copper something er other in it to kill off the algae , ruined that lake as well ,it "was" about the best black crappie lake in this area .
Even the great state of Texas tried to play god years ago on the best bluegill fishery in the state back when . Took out the pads and other shoreline vegetation to "help" the lake produce bigger bass ,and it already was at the time ?
Turned it into a really nice muddy water catfish lake , the good news here , is the crappie are just like the catfish and they are simply off the charts thriving in it now , the bluegill and bass went south though .
just dumb luck to say the least , they did studies on what went wrong and to this day have no clue best I can tell ya ,but if the crappie fishing is tough on the big lakes close by for the crappie guides over there , they run right over to it to hammer some crappie.
to be sure there are several of them there "pro" lake managers available to "cure" whatever is wrong with your lake or pond
triploid grass carp have to have a special permit to get stocked in Texas , they are sometimes employed on a few spots to reduce vegetation as well , Six Flags used to use them back when , not sure these days .
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
