It's just something about a warm day(50+) in the winter. I'm also less busy in those months with family bussiness so the trips don't feel rushed. I fish a watershed lake and most of my "spots" just fish better. Fish keep better. Minnows keep better. Less boat traffic. I also work in an extreme heat environment so fishing in the sun on my off days is a struggle.

On my small creek, October on is a really tough bite. The water gets shallow and gin clear and they just flat disappear. I need to learn some new techniques - they gotta eat, I just can’t seem to find them.
