Be careful what ever you choose to use. I saw a boat pull a c clamp off the flange of a beam. They had used a regular rope with a little slack in it. The wind kicked up some waves, when the rope pulled tight the second time off came the c clamp pretty quickly. I wouldn't wish to be hit by it.
