    Default SHEEZ BACK !

At 205,000 miles my truck needed a few items to keep her moving well .
Her first EVER tune up and plugs , and then the laundry list
Front end pretty much done and needed one of everything and 2 of some .
Cam sensors failing and emission sensor failing .
and the list goes on ....
she could ALSO use a real good interior detailing as I think her last one was at around 50,000 miles, but maybe later on that one
Took a week and a big wallet ,but she runs like a new one once again !
AND no more lights all over the dashboard like a Christmas tree ,warning me she needs one of everything either .....
So off SHE and I went to ketch some lunchtime crappie off the dock nearby .
Those fish were just about as tricky and subtle as any that I remember .
managed 21 in an hour and missed a few and lost one good one .
bait had to be SLOWLY moving parallel to the bottom and ....
bites were just BARELY noticeable and mean REALLY REALLY light slow takes .
around 8 foot of water in the shade ,picked up one bait off the deck and tried it ...
so so and time was limited , so back to my limits tackle bright as the sun and got it dun
both species ,the small blacks and the so so white crappie were close to the bottom and,
My little Pony sure does scoot like a new one .....
Off to bake in sun today after work elsewhere in the crappie chase ....
takes a big hat and lots of water ....gunna be warm
    KABOOM is the word

Nissan 2010 frontier 4x4 SE ,bought it new , go take a new one for a test drive , read the reviews , look at the price comparisons apples to apples ....
I got about an inch from buying another one last December , but he wouldn't come down the final 2 grand on his bottom price
the new version has EVEN more ponies than my old girl ....
test drive a new one ....put the pedal on the floor on the on ramp .....
BACK off when the rest of the world is in the rear view mirror ....
there are the crews out there that say it has a spartan interior and the arm rest is small and a few other bla bla bla complaints ....
but 99.9% of them folks is the ones in the rear view mirror ....

I had a 12 Tacoma. Replaced it in December with another Tacoma. Smaller engine, yet more ponies. I like the gas mileage of the newer on better

I believe brand used to make a difference. Now technology is so close that they all make vehicles that will give great service with reasonable Maintenance. The 2012 had 180 on it when I parted with it. It had regular synthetic oil changes it entire life. It had front brake pads replaced the summer before trade in. Oil changes, filters, battery and tires.

Tech may be the same, but quality of part suppliers ain't! Check out all the problems with the F150 trannys in recent years. Class action lawsuits abound. Remember, the company whose name is on your vehicle just assembled it- they didn't make most of the parts!

Sounds like she will be around for a few more years! I have had good luck with my Truck too. Last November I had a long block installed into my 2005 F150 Crewcab 4x4. I also had transmission rebuilt, new radiator and other bolt on parts replaced. Truck had around 220,000 miles on it. Transmission was in good shape but engine had cam phaser issues but not smoking or using oil, body straight with no rust. I never had the issues others had with their 5.4 3 valve engines or the transmission issues, I got a good one from Ford. I looked at new trucks the last 4 years but decided to keep the 2005 since it already had the normal woods scratches and such... I did buy a Toyota all wheel drive SUV 2 years ago for a grocery getter/daily driver.

Best of luck with the redo makeover, Ketchn. Hopefully has many more miles in her!
