Get em for her. You’re a lucky man. Been with my wife over 40 years and she’s been in my boat less than ten times. Buy her the best you can afford.
As for the difference, it may also be a sweet spot on the brush. I fished standing timber and all of the fish on a couple of trees would come from a 5’ circle, all day. Maybe some preferred branches in one spot, who knows, theys feesh and sometimes make no sense.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
Who knows!!!
It’s happened to me several times sauger fishing.
Anchored fore and aft.
My 24ft Alweld river boat.
Guys on bow and stern. Basically vertical fishing. Same weight, same color.
Weird deal for sure.
I attribute it to LUCK!!!!
Rather be lucky than good I was always told. LOL

Well, my wife now has clothes from Simms, Huk, Under Armor and Columbia. She has matching hats and she just told me we need strike king sausage head jigs in 1/16 oz yellow, to match her bonehead plastics we use.
Thanks for everyones thoughts and comments and I am now working on getting to the left side of the bow before her or I am going to be broke soon!
6poundtest, Ketchn LIKED above post
I have wondered if the ping from the depth finder drives them to the other side .Just a thought .
Good thing you don’t ride a Harley or you WOULD BE BROKE FOR SURE!!

I've always been of the mind that sonar pings don't phase them as much as many people think. I've sat right on top of a tree full of fish, with 2 units running (LS & DI) and the fish never paid them much mind. I've been fishing in <5fow with a unit running & trolling motor running & caught Bass & Crappie.
ease the boat towards the side that has the bite and change the port to starboard just like that , have to be subtle though so do it ever so slowly , tip of the week
