    Default Berkley Cherrywood

Some 10 or more years back I got myself a 2 pc. 7 foot Berkley Cherrywood HD , she sits in the garage quite often , I prefer one pc. rods .
she ain't high end or really expensive , she has metal eyelets and is quite stiff .
But to be sure she is a trooper fish slinger and she is sensitive ,with back bone to beat the band !
So if you have a small wallet and want a bang up rod for the buck you might consider one to add to your arsenal . The break down one is nice because it will fit nicely in the back of my wife's little Honda fit and you might find it is one of those rods you wished you knew about sooner .....
the version I am running will flip a rather large crappie quite easily into the air on its way to my hand .
Berkley does not sponsor me and this ain't an advertisement

I had a 6'ul version. It was a stiff one as well. It made a good dock shooter. Had enough backbone to sling a jig out the other side of the dock. Loaned it to a buddy who shortly abbreviated the end by 6 inches.

some of the less large wallet folks in my circles use them and some of them boys will flat hurt your feelings with them if you get to fish next to them

X2! It doesn’t really make sense, to me.

That is the truth. Over the counter medications. I was at a sporting goods store the other day. A man was complaining about a hook shortage. I looked around and only a few packs of hooks hanging. It beats all I have ever seen

Good rod for the money. Kinda heavy but good. Berkely also offers the lightning rod for not much more dinero .

Crappie fishing doesn't have to cost a lot of money.

I use Cherrywoods daily. I have a dozen or more. I try to buy the medium action for pulling cranks but the medium heavy work great for pulling planer boards.
