I need a chart for longlining that tells the weight of a single jig [or jigs if I pull two jigs on the same line], the amount of line out and the speed to use. I will be using 6 lb mono line. I normally pull cranks but, I want to try something new.
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

Yeah, but that doesn't show how much line you need out to get to those depths at those speeds.
That's precisely why I Push my jigs, rather than longline them. I can mentally figure depth by line angle & length of line out, plus I don't have to make quarter mile turns to keep my lines from crossing up. 1oz weights @ ~1mph gives me 3ft of depth for every 5ft of line out below the surface (+/-).
here is one of the BEST reads you can get on Longlining for CRAPPIE !!! CHART is on PAGE 6 !!!

Everything is based on 70-80 ft . Watch His u-tube presentation on spring show at grizzly jig .
What is not mentioned on Brad Chappel's chart is he pulls horseheads (Road Runners), not ball jigs. Big difference in the way those two run.
