Default Sunrise on a new day

The plan was simple as always ,let's go ketch a bunch of crappie . The trip went as planned and the wind was nonexistent . Sure was a good time ,a bit warm when I departed at 9:30 or so ,but was just lovely when we launched at 6:30 .
The fish were still biting STRONG when I departed ,and the rest of the crew went back at them after I went off to work .
Still shallow and it was wasting time to hit any water over 4 to 5 foot deep early in the day . Fish would hit just about any bait you pitched and at some points in time some seemed to be better than others , no real hard fast rule on what color or style of bait would get bit best .
The fish backed off the bank around 10 am to around 8 to 10 foot of water and continued to bite well until my buds left at around noon . Mind you this , this particular lake is FLAT out FULL of crappie and to be sure ,it's like fishing in a barrel if you know the lake fairly well .
Not sure how many went back in the water and they left with only about one limit of fish in the 11 to 13 inch range .
Only one bass in the mix and one black crappie and the rest of the fish were white crappie . Water temperature was up in the 80 plus some range and they wanted the bait moving along at a pretty good pace . Vertical would produce pretty good as well , but why drop a bait straight down when you can cast a mile and hook up at long range right ?
Water clarity came back quickly and what was a muddy water situation is now almost right back to normal clarity .
That's the report from west of DFW and I am sticking to it and sticking it to them I might just add as well .
p.s. a pretty large amount of crappie.com items on board might have caused it to go so well ,it actually could happen you know ,and yes ....
