Default Dumbest things you ever seen fisherman do?

Back home,,we had a lot of issues with seagulls,,, So guys got tired of losing their fishing lures, bait and line would take a fish,,,a tablet or two of Alka Seltzer, stuff it down fishes mouth,,, Throw the fish at a un suspecting seasgull and watch the show,,,,,,.mind you,, this is totally illegal,, so don’t do this at home kids,,,,,,

I was fishing on a pier on the Gulf. White trout were running good. Very large ones. White trout have two fangs in the front of their mouths. This fella was using cut pieces of shrimp for bait. He unhooked the fish, looked in and saw the shrimp in the fishes throat. He looked at his buddy and said I get to use my bait again as he alide his fingers in to get the bait. As soon as he touches the back of that fishes mouth it went to punching holes in those fingers.

I have witnessed both post one and two, funny when someone else dose it. But the funniest thing Ive seen was 2 guys in an alluminum boat with a crank box from an old phone trying to shock catfish. One guy sticks his hand in the water while the other guy was cranking that thing and he filled his boot up with hot water.

Dumbest thing I ever saw was a guy putting his boat on the trailer. He had a good 2 hours of fishing light left. What was he thinking???

Forgetting to put plug back in boat.. I have to say I have also been guilty. I later promised myself I would drain the water and replace plug right then.:

I guess throwing an anchor in the water, without first making sure it’s rope is secured to the boat, wouldn’t even make the list. lol
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.

Definitely helps to tie anchor first to rope and boat

I put the plug into my livewell drain hole and tore off across the lake. I also started making my own hand tied jigs….man what a dumb idea that was.
Maybe they will bite this one……

watched 4 guys try to launch a still strapped down boat one time , sure did do a lot of yelling and in and out and roaring of the motor and to be quite honest , to this day I still think about them and chuckle .

They make a plug with a check ball in it. I had been out about an hour and thought I didn't put the plug in. Turned on the bilge pump and pumped out a couple of gallons of water. Sure saved a trip back to the launch and onto the trailer to put the plug in
