Yeah, I've seen those fangs, but didn't think they were that dangerous .

Years ago, was at Reelfoot with a group of five boats. We were all in a line fishing when the CO pulled up. He went right down the line checking everyone's catch - didn't check a single license. As he worked down the line, we was calling out the quantity that each boat had. Well, when he got to the last boat, yes, mine, he just looked in the boat and started shaking his head and said, "well, if beer cans count, these guys win!!" Now mind you, this was about day four, and we just had not cleaned out the boat - I don't know why. We didn't even think about all the cans! He checked our fish, and since I'm telling the story, we did have the most, and off he went.

Those self bailing plugs work fine......until a part of a plastic worm or other debris gets caught so the check ball can't shut off. Don't ask me how I know.

    let's see

a buddy's steering cable broke while we were fishing. We kept fishing and when we were powered up, I would hold the motor and turn it as needed

then my buddy fixed the steering cable but you had to turn the wheel left to go right and right to go left

left the straps on at the ramp not to long ago

dropped a battery in the lake while reaching it out to a buddy in another boat

sunk a boat that was tied to the dock in a summer rain storm

have lost a few rod/reel combos

oh and weighed in 6 fish in a crappie usa tourney (7 fish limit). Had been culling all day and would have finished 1st not 3rd

    there's more

For many it involved the phrase "I do".

Left the key on the boat all day in October here in Ohio 3 miles from the ramp. Started to paddle with the tiny paddle that came with my Tracker before my wife reminded me of the 24v trolling motor. The stripping down to my skivvies and wading chest deep in cold water to get the boat on the trailer is another story in and of itself to include the stubbed toes on a large dock bolt.

When I bought my latest boat. It had a wide masking tape and marker sign on the windscreen that said PLUG!. I it looked pretty hideous there across that smoke color windscreen. I took some WD40 and soaked it down to get it to release. When I put in that evening. Yep you guessed it. I forgot the plug. Guess I was too busy scraping off that crusty masking tape sticker to remember to put in the plug.

I once seen myself try to bear hug a huge blue cat in real short water ,couldn't get my hands around her due to her massive girth .So I jumped in and went after her . ( I was actually trying to ketch catfish that day btw ) She was mine when I raised up with her in that hold and then .....
she gave it a mighty push and went straight up like a polaris missile and snapped my line and was gone ! My bud holding my rod while it all unfolded just thought it was about hilarious ....me not so much at the time
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
