This is what I would use.

    https://www.amazon.com/ipad-screen-s...d+screen+saver

After you cut to size and paste, put a small bead of lexel caulk on top of (top edge) screen surface (black part). Have just enough that it stays on top edge and does not drip down. Wait 5 days for lexel to harden and you are good to go.

All I got to say is , “ Don’t ever let your buddy who thinks he can drive, back your boat down!” it might end up badly…..

rnvinc, thanks for posting that. I know someone with a cracked screen who is not happy with Garmin right now. I'll pass that info on to him.

Im surprised you got through to Garmin. I called them a few months ago and waited over an hour on hold before I hung up. I had an older (2015?) unit fall out of the thing that holds it on the console, and now it rattles. I hope it works.

The best thing to to do is let them call you back instead of waiting. I've never had a hard time with garmin.

Sorry to hear this. I’ve heard of people getting them repaired but not through Garmin. All my electronics are insured with my boat. If I break mine I’ll be filing a claim.
