Default All Fisherman Are Liars Except You And Me

and I am not sure about you!

Some of the funny stretches of truth I have heard over the years is....

    1) I lost an 18 inch crappie at the boat. I guarantee you it was the biggest crappie ever seen. I wish I had a picture but you just have to trust me.
    2) Scene: A crappie fisherman is fishing next to you on shore and says "They have been killing the crappie on the north end!" Then you say "then why are you fishing with me on the south end?"

I'm only fishing here because me and PawPaw use to fish here, as he subtly covers up a bucket of real gooduns!

Been bank fishing and catch a few. Guy down the bank pulls out a cell phone and in 20 minutes there are more people than there is place to fish.

"That's a nice mess of crappie you got there!"

    "Thank you"

"Do you mind if I ask how deep you were getting them at? I don't need location just depth."

    "Sure...11 foot"

"That's odd. The whole north end is not deeper than 8 feet."

"Oh...what I meant to say is 11 foot, minus 8 foot, means the fish were 3 feet deep in 8 foot of water."

That fish I just caught was big for its size.
