Default Age old question on jig storage

Plano type box or original package or does it matter? Keep mine in Plano boxes but have considered switching to using original package. Just like the idea of looking at the boxes and seeing what I have as opposed to sorting through bags. Probably overthinking it. What's your opinion. For what it's worth everybody I fish with uses the Plano boxes

Just switched over to boxes. Took forever to work through the packages to find what you were looking for

Original packaging in a dollar store $1 plastic shoe box works for me.

I started a thread very very similar to this titled "How do you store your plastics/jigs?" right here in the main fishing forum.....I would definitely check that out, I think alot of your answers will be in there. As far as I'm concerned, after I switched and started to store in plano style boxes I really like it. Simple and straight forward, no "hunting" for that one bait your looking for....everything's right in front of you.

I do a combination of both .... some plastics are out of the package & in the plano box, in their own section, and some are still in the package in a section of their own. I generally keep them in the original pkg just so I know the brand and color, so I can replace them when they get low. Most of the ones out of the package are transplants from other boxes that have been consolidated into the one tackle bag I take with me.

I pulled the labels off and stuck them to the inside of the lid above the bait they went to. That way I know what it was and what to reorder when needed.

Plano boxes and a 2 dollar store boxes, one for specialized stuff and the other for used jigs (catch all box) this box is my go to when I'm feeling cheap, which is often!
