For many years now I have been spider rigging with the double hook rigs. I use a 1/2 oz. egg sinker in the middle. On the bottom hook I use a road runner style jig head 1/16th. oz. that I make myself and put different types and colors of plastic's on them. On the top hook I still use a minnow hook. I bait both hooks with a live shiner. This setup doesn't work for everyone but it works for me. In the last 2 weeks I have won 2 tournaments on my local lake. I do not have Livescope but almost every boat I beat was using it. Hope you get it figured out.
Are your rigs set up with a 3 way swivel like a Capps and Coleman rig?
Top hook tied to main line? Hook at top size?
You fish braid on main line with mono for rig?
I usually move at .2 or so mph. Faster?
Thanks for the info.

Chuck, I do use the 3 way swivel like a Capps and Coleman rig. I don't lock the egg sinker in place but instead tie a straight swivel on to stop it. I like to let it slide up and down the line.

down here in Texas pushing out the front of the boat sometimes occurs accidently and sometimes not so much . depends on your attitude and them darn mind of their own spot lock trolling motors ....just saying :Rofl

I’m with you 100%, I refuse to cast and I’ve become somewhat one dimensional in my older age. My rig is very simple and I use the heaviest jig I can get away with, I’ve been using 1/4oz heads and a 1/4 oz egg about a foot or so above the bait. I tip mine with a minnow and slow troll. Maybe I’m spider rigging, maybe I’m pushing 8 baits through the column, I don’t really know or care about the technicalities. Next time you fish taylorsville holler at me, them fish like me out there.

I’ll be back in the saddle again soon. Been down in the back for about a month. Chiropractor cut me down to 1 time a week today. Hope I still remember how to operate my Livescope. Lol
Thanks

I have pushed for several years and I use a double jig rig. I started out using a 3 way swivel but soon done a way with it. Was to much trouble to fool with. I tie a loop knot on both jigs and use a 1oz egg sinker in the middle of the jig heads. I just run the line through the egg sinker 3 time so it will not slip. I use 6lb line and never had a problem with the line breaking at the sinker.. Unless I am pushing in 1 to 10 fow and then I use 2 1/4oz jig head both tied with a loop knot about 6" apart....I use a 16' poles and sometimes a 20' pole in front of the trolling motor. I use heavy sinkers and jigs heads because I go faster than most.
