Very true. I need to set it up to mirror to my tablet so I can see it better. I have a hard time with the 5" screen on the head unit

The type of crappie fishing I enjoy is:
    THE CATCHING TYPE. lol

Where I fish here in Florida, there are not many, if any docks, so never have done dock shooting. I tried Crank baits, but no luck with them, we only have Black Crappies, but believe me I tried.

So between casting, spider rigging, long line trolling, I like the later the best.

At 78, I am blessed to be able to go every once in awhile, catching them now is just a bonus. Which type of crappie fishing do you enjoyWhich type of crappie fishing do you enjoy

They have to be somewhere. I end up fishing a lot of marinas. They love to be under pontoon boats

Just found this cool thread so I'll bring it back up. For me, first is spider rigging late fall thru early spawn.

Pulling summer cranks slightly edges out brushpile fishing. Depending on the day and how the fish are acting brushpile fishing might be casting jigs, slip corking minnows or pitching jigs with a long rod. Just got livescope this spring and use it around piles. Definitely a game changer.

Next is dock shooting. I've had days when I've loaded the boat but my other methods are more productive. Probably just my lack of skill and confidence so I don't do it much. And the lake i fish has about 359,000 docks it seems.

Have not done open water sniping with the scope but will this winter.

I primarily single pole cast and retrieve or jig. Sometimes it's Jig and a float.
