I recently had a solid hit on a rod i was trolling out the back of the boat with a 1/16 oz and a curly tail.
I knew it was a bass and a pretty nice one, but when it got to the boat it spit out the jig with a Crappie that size on it.
I didnt even know it was on the rod till the bass hit it.
The Crappie was of coarse dead, but it had obviously wanted that jig for a meal.

YoBuck. Its amazes me how small a crappie will hit a 1/4 ounce jig head and a 3.5 inch twister tail.

It proves a trigger bite presentation is most successful when the crappie have lock jaw.

That fish will always be remembered. Even that jig color orange/red.

I've actually caught some "nearly" that small .... Pushing CRANKS

And I have been known to drag <6" Bass and Crappie along for several hundreds of yards when Pushing jigs in choppy water.
