I think Lowe owns Crestliner.
I’ve had 2 Crestliner boats and still own one of them.
Never owned a stick steer but I do like Crestliner.

I can't find any unbiased owner information on either of the two boats in the Thread Title. I've grown a lot more interested in these boats since Xpress has removed their XP16PF Stick Steer from their latest catalog and the factory tells me they may not be available to order until 2023 or ever. Lowe and Crestliner dealers are the only ones to respond to my inquiries with any postitive feedback on availability this year. Some very informative guys at Wood Marine in Ruston LA even had a couple of Skorpions for me to look at but I'm looking for real-life owner feedback. If there are some owners here please let me know your opinions, recommendations and any other helpful tid-bits such as how it rides and how fast can a 40 or 50 hp four-stroke push you down the lake or up the river. Thanks in advance!

My experience was with a sea nymph which was bought by Lowe’s. 16’, 25 Johnson and a 40lb pdv2 MK trolling motor. Wish I had it back. Only issue I had was a few leaky rivets and I would advise on buying a welded boat. Mine was basic and lacked storage. It also had a bench seat in the back that was full of foam, I prefer an independent seat that allows turning around without your legs hitting the seat. The 25 pushed it at 22 mph. Troller was too small, 55 lb motor is a must. The main reason I sold it was lower back punishment from being the first to any wave or chop. Cray has fished from a stick boat for a while so you might talk with him.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
I had a 2008 G3 16ft with a 50hp 4 stroke. For 1 or 2 people and just crappie fishing it is great. Pros are good ride, steers very easy, you are down in the boat at rest so very safe. Top speed about 38 or 40. Easy to launch and load. Cons are cold mornings and rain will make your teeth chatter. When I would try to turn sideways my knees hit the sides, thats the one that made me sell it. Live well was in the middle, it's small and not insulated well. Limited space and room.
Make sure it has an upgraded front seat with cushion and built in shocks. Especially if you are on any lakes with chop. You might reach out to excel or seaark or war eagle too just to see if they have anything available.

Good luck on your search,
I have a Lowe st175, camo with 60 hp 4 stroke.
I have owner it 9 years and I fish 2 days per week. The boat has never had a problem. I store it in my garage out of the elements.
This model is not a stick steer, but has 2 nice big livewells and is very wide and stable, 31 mph and sips fuel.
Lowe doesn't spend money advertising so you dont hear alot about them, they make a good boat.
FIN thanked you for this post
Thanks for everyone’s response. Surely someone out there has a Skorpion SS or Outlook 1657 they’d like to report on....?
