Pro Angler does have the 5-1/2 ft in stock. Being a foot shorter maybe a deal breaker for you...dono...I do have the 5-1/2 ft rod and it does have 8 eyes instead of just 7 which is what the 6-1/2 ft has. Which is a high five for dock shooting. More and more that rod has become my go-to.

I am a big Pro Angler fan, really really good bang for the buck.
I own some boneheads and love them, however they are pricey.

Did you call Grizzly Jig and see what they had in stock?

Don't know why you had a bad experience with them. I've caught 3 lb bass with them while trolling cranks for crappie and never had one break. Been using them for several years now. I own at least 6 of them.

been looking at the rod weights, the 7.5 ft ACC rod weights 3.6oz and the pro angler 6.5ft weights 5oz does this say much for strength durability, i did find a pro angler in a 6.5 ft, but going to wait for the ACC 7.5 footer any thoughts

5oz? Really? Is it made of pure lead?

If those are your choices, I’d go with the ACC. I’ll almost always pick the lighter rod.

I couldn’t believe that, so I checked their website. It does say “weighs only 5 ounces”, but that has to be a typo. The 8-foot rod is listed at 4.2 ounces.

Only if you’re using it as a kite.
