Default How many lures do you take with you and in what?

I'm guilty like most of taking far too many lures than I'll use in a year but I do try to limit duplication and concentrate more on variation. I want to easily access lure types and designs made easier in that I don't fish for anything but pan fish. This box pretty much does it unless I want to take along crankbaits and surface lures:

The top box contains the most commonly used jig heads and hooks sizes for each weight.

The four boxes beneath it are lure design categories based on lure action, shape and size in-combination:

(note: foam packing keeps lure body and tails straight)

On any one outing I could carry one box containing a confidence lure and jig head and do well if fish were found. But hey - variety is the spice of fishing so why not?
How about you? - do you take along more lures than you'll ever use on an outing (or in a lifetime for that matter)?

I carry a Ozark Trail tackle bag, the contents of which are mostly plastics & Road Runners for casting & Pushing purposes. And yes, there's more there than I'll ever use.

I am just filling the storage locker on the boat so nothing shifts around during rough weather.

    Probably about 10,000 dollars worth!
Enough to fish for the rest of my life and at 66 years old that may be any time. Lol

I’m a minimalist, I have to be as a bank fisherman....I often have to hike a bit to some locations. I just arranged this up last night. After doing so I realized I don’t use a lot of the plastics I actually have, so I put what I use the most in their. As far as I’m concerned, if you can’t catch a crappie with this tackle shown the problem is more likely you lol.

I take very little. If I’m fly fishing, I take one pocket-sized box of flies. I take a similar-sized box of jigs if I’m spin fishing.

You can get by with minimal tackle if you ignore three words: “just in case”.
