That's a cut above the rest, eh? I can see where I've been missing some and will try to work a bit more forward next time. Thanks.

thanks for the nice comments , to be sure over the years I cut up lots of fish from a lot of places and done it a lot of different ways .
this is just my personal preference on the way I want to clean my crappie , if the number of fish I "had" to whack was high , trust me I would not be using this method and or that knife .

the answer is of course YES , slightly different though on the rib cage area unless they are huge bream .
and sometimes I employ a slightly smaller knife on them as well .

    Enjoyed the video!
Especially the sound the knife makes coming down the rib bones.
I was surprised you Coupl hear that on the video.

I use an electric knife on all fish, takes about 45 sec. from start to finish, in a hurry 30 sec, it just saves time and probably lose a small amount of meat

Same here and when cleaning 30 or more can’t do it fast enough! If I need more meat I’ll catch another one.

There's always two types of fileting fish, there's the quick way and the respect the fish way.....
I have always respected the animals I take and try to maximize my use of them.....I do similar to Ketchn but different.....

Disclaimer time..... Your fish is your fish filet it how you see fit, my comment is my comment.....
