    Default ALWAYS pay attention ....

To the details and for sure follow the pro tips on colors and light conditions .
I tend to NEVER pay attention to anyone or anything but the fish though most of the time .
So as they say on bright days use a bright jig and on dark days use a dark jig right ?
Well I am of the opinion you use what you want and I will do the same and if I go right off the "chart" in reverse of the golden rules of jig colors I am pretty sure you will understand .
I opted for "bright as the sun " in the rain and dark skies yesterday and to be sure it could not have been bit any quicker than the they bit it .
So right when you think there is a method to the madness and you are following some crappie killer on some platform that says do this and do that ....
Along comes some yeehaw like me just a happily pitching the "wrong" baits all over the place and slinging fish left and right
water temp 70 , raining and sketchy wind patterns and highly overcast skies .
fish were best in 8 to 10 feet of water . some shallower , pretty much none deeper .
holding well on cover and biting fast , shad were spawning along most of the shorelines as well .
no livescope and the graph we had kept saying there WAS not much in the way of fish under us ?
on 2d and di it wasn't "seeing " them only the brush and some bait ?
managed 12 fish off the courtesy dock before the boat arrived .
managed some unknown ridiculous high number shortly thereafter ....
was a fun 2.5 hours of fish slinging for sure
kept a limit of 11 to 13 inch fish and tossed or lost another 200 or so fish as well
lots of shorts in the mix and none over 13 inches came in the boat
AND NO scents and of course lots of non sense required as well btw ....
    KABOOM is the word yawl
p.s. I did opt for the light colored crappie.com ball cap and dark jacket , not sure if that had any play in it though ....just saying

Wind was howling so I was watching SK give um a spanking yesterday eve. You now how that goes, got the itch and had to scratch so off I went. Chart and black was the color. High wind lite line and brush is not a good combo, but I did manage a few before I lost my last one. Gonna have to tye some more this evening cause they do like it and the summer thang is just getting under way.

I need to hook the truck to the boat so it will rain on my garden. As soon as I plan to go fishing the chances of rain go up 80%
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along

Well, that is part of the mystery and charm of it. Kind of like Phil Rizzuto trying to make sense of Yogi Berra. He said you had to think about it a little and then it made sense. Who knows, maybe someday you’ll write a book!
