I lost an anchor one time. I was in my Supra watching the FLW guys prefish at Twin Rivers with my wife. Wind was up and I had 100 ft of line out on a fluke and it got stuck. Thank goodness I had a cigarette lighter on me or I would have never got off of it. I had to burn the rope. Cut your loss and fish on.

we cut quite few anchor ropes over the years as well ,sometimes the hang up good and just aint coming back
