Hey Ketch, try using a 2.5: piece of plastic worm. It catches fish no lie!
the goal was bluegill , the count was around 4 to 1 ....crappie INSTEAD of bluegill !
it was ridiculous how many crappie bit a 1/32 number 8 with a pc of worm on it yesterday
probably due to it raining all the day the day before maybe ?
not sure but to be sure a ton of them bit a slow dropping pc a worm .
it was actually comical and it was tough as heck to ketch a bluegill with all them crappie in the way .
did color matter ?
maybe , they were the "green chart" version night crawlers
was after a dozen bluegill for the boss at work ....
only left with 11 nice ones and it should have been a cake walk ...go figure ...
sometimes these fish sure make you scratch your head i tell ya ..

I have used the jighead and piece of worm method to catch a lot of small bream ( used for bait). It seems to work better than a bare hook
