Loop knots for jigs. #10 snap swivels for crankbaits.

Do any of you use quick snap swivels when using jigs? I find it easier for change outs, but do have days when I get fewer strikes and was wondering it had anything to do with the swivels! I have rods rigged with them and without.
Thanks.

What he said!
Just a loop knot
Yep, knots here, started with snap swivels in the beginning, but once i started tiring knots the catch count went up for sure. Now I just look like a bass fisher with a bunch of poles on the deck all rigged different. You know... to find that magic color of the day.
Snug knot or loop knot for jigs and duo lock snaps for cranks.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
I have been trying to decide what I like as well. I think I am on my fourth system now. Anyways I am now tying a UNI knot to the jig, using my thumbnail to open it into a small loop, with a clip on the other end of the leader for attaching to main line, all carefully lined up according to color and placed onto foam boards for transport. Then if I wish a change in color, I swap out leader and all.
One of the things about knots is we all get different results. You can tie a UNI and I can tie a UNI and someone else can tie a UNI.....same materials and all will break at different weights. The difference is in the formation of the knot. I like a long length of line for tying and then slide it down small to finish. Others fumble with short lengths at first, maybe not realizing that the knot is adjustable for length.
The loop knots mentioned can be very tricky indeed. There are several to select from and to be sure all can and will work fine given they are formed well. I watched an old man tying a loop knot that was very simple, but the secret was that he was very skillful with that particular knot. He did it quick and clean. There are videos showing knots being fashioned up, and some even showing them being tied incorrectly. So my point is find a knot that you can tie. One that makes sense and is not a challenge. Then get real good with that one. Testing is always a great idea, and breaking a few lines while testing can reveal weaknesses in your system.
One that consistently gets mentioned is the No Slip Loop Knot. Great knot but you must make certain to pass the tag end through the loop in the correct direction, or the knot just appears to be correct. Try to get a good video where they mention this fact specifically.
I like the Surgeons Loop and the Triple Surgeons Loop for simplicity and ease. Good luck.
Maybe they will bite this one……moonrunner LIKED above post
