I didn’t mean to be ugly. Just saying that’s part of the game. Nowhere near as bad as cutting a deers throat after he’s been shot and ran suffering half a mile. It’s just part of the sport. Worst thing I’ve witnessed is during coon hunting. My dad was a big coon hunter. But he’d never shoot one unless it was necessary to train a young dog. He always taught me to never shoot one if I thought they might have young ones. One night a young dog he had been working really hard with treed one. We shot him out. And then we could hear and see the little ones crying for their mama. He talked about that in his last few days how we shouldn’t have shot that coon out. But that’s just part of the sport when it comes to hunting and fishing. Meant no harm or disrespect to anyone’s opinions.

Never thought about it before but I guess Long John Silver does it with his pirate sword. Kind of a big knife for a crappie but ya gotta dance with the one ya brought.

If you were talking to me, you didn't hurt my feelings. My favorite way to cook um is on the bank over a bed of coals in an iron skillet with pan fried tatters and onions... Maybe a slice of tomato and a cold beer. No way I'm waiting till next week to clean um!

Everything we eat that was once alive had to give it's life for us to eat. Regardless weather we hunt or fish for it or pick it up at the supermarket. Only difference is someone else doing the dirty work and putting it in a package or us doing the job ourselves. Back when everyone farmed, raised, hunted, or fished for what the eat it was an understood part of life

You're not suppose to look them in the eye.....LOL
It's always nice to make that slice behind their head and most of their blood runs out..... Makes for some tastier filets for sure.....
Dead is definitely dead and I don't see that they suffer pain long after the 1st cut.....
I've been hunt'n and fishn all my days so if it's put to good use by feeding my family and myself the sacrifice was well worth it.....

I just find it funny many think it’s better to let them suffocate on ice or club them in the head?

Can’t post the link due to language but as in My Cousin Vinny - do you think really think the deer gives a .... what kind of pants you’re wearing when the bullet blows its brains out?
