I won’t. I will rely on you to tell me why guiding is against the law.

I'm thinking if that were so, and interpreted as you think, that there would not be any guides or licenses issued for guiding on COE lakes .... unless, perhaps, the licensing process is linked to or condoned by the COE.

Do you happen to know where when and how to apply for the guide license you mentioned? In Mississippi?

No sir, I do not. I just know several guides that happen to be licensed guides that do their guiding on COE lakes in KY. Were they "technically illegal", I'm sure the powers that be would have acted against them already.

The guides that I know in KY have Captains Licenses. I do not know of any in MS that have any kind of a license. I was told none were required in MS even on the Corps lakes ...so dunno
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Well according to all the discussions with several biologists that I've listened to fishermen can't deplete the crappie population on a lake......
I've seen this discussion pop up several times over the years and as all of you know you just simply can't catch most of the crappie in any school or on any brush pile.....
There are times when most just won't hit anything.....
Those that have the biggest problem with this topic usually struggle to catch crappie and feel their lakes Crappie population is low....
Instead of thinking that maybe try making some changes to your fishing techniques and fish different areas, maybe watch for areas where there isn't a lot of fishing pressure on your lake.....
Lake Fork is one of the most fished lakes I know of but yet it's a constant producer of big stringers and big fish....
I think we're shooting ourselves in the foot wanting more and tougher restrictions....
I'm sure some will disagree with my opinion but just know it's My Opinion.....
Want to catch More and Bigger Fish? Come on, I'll show you how......
