    hand sized bluegill is good eating. Some of the best fish tacos I have ever eaten were made with bluegill. It happened one meet when we could not catch legal crappie. So we caught around 60 bluegill (not all handsized) and ketchn filleted them and cooked them. Got to admit, ketchn can fillet and cook almost as good as he can catch.

    I will take 9in Bluegill all day long....on UL tackle the most fun you can have with your clothes on ....and best eating fish in the lake.

    Nine inch bluegill on UL gear is about as much fun as one can get. Nine inch fish were once quite common in the lakes I fish but now it is more like 8 inches.....with 9 inch becoming more rare.

    sure do make good food items and will flat out pull like a train on light tackle .
    coupled with about as easy to ketch a fish as ever invented makes them score real high on the ketchability scale
    sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
