Default 61 was the water temp .

and the fish that wanted to play were in around 8 to 10 feet of water .
we got our lines broke a few times and had a good time .
didnt keep many but he wanted a dozen to take home .
fish were willing at every stop . some spots only held smaller fish .
something natural colored seemed to get the most bites .
a few hit bold colors though and most bites were definitive !
started late at around 8 30 and quite around 11 30
the bite went south about when we left .
not sure how many we managed to land , but somewhere in the 50 or 60 range i imagine .
not ridiculous on fire good ,but not bad either .
we were mostly dippin jigs and managed a few casting .
the fish were tight to cover and a few had real steam and required the net .
thats my report for that lake on that day and ...

Some really nice keepers, Ketch. I’d most assuredly would take a day like that right now. We are looking at a super 70(!) degree day today and I’m going out to chase them right after an early lunch. First step - gotta fine ‘Em!

most of the keeper fish were in the 12 and 13 inch range
one fish that broke him off appeared to be possibly a really big crappie when it came up
one that broke me off had the feel of a really big crappie before it came up
was fun for sure , thanks for the comment and read

What's the water color and relative clarity in that lake? Just asking for the color plastics used

Nice read Ketchn, Great looking fish. A might bit cold up here with you know, that dreaded white fluffy white stuff falling from the sky. Supposed to be down to 28 deg. here tonight. When this weather breaks, plan on getting my jigs wet, and see about putting a few in the hot grease. Kaboom is the word.

south end of that lake was green water with pretty ok clarity
north end was stained/turbid and reddish from the last weeks rain
both ends produced the same results for the most part
fish were on or near cover
