When I moved to Florida in 2003, I was introduced to crappie being called "speck's" in magazines or spec's by the locals, so naturally to fit in, that became the 1st part & many 2nd additions had been added to spec in some form or another before joining the site, so in enthusiasm to seek out specks, I came up with "detector" as the 2nd part...

Zaphod because I am a fan of Douglas Adams. 2319 is the code from Monsters Inc for child contamination. Zaphod is a popular name so I added a number I could remember. It is my username on 3 forums about Premier league, 2 forums about homebrewing, we used 2319 when someone posted about brewing in the off topic forum on one of them.
