I first had a username of Rollcaster when I lived in N Ga and chased the trout there. I joined here and used that name from another forum I was on. Since moving closer to family and making time in life to chase The Thump more often, I have taken quite a few friends and family fishing with me. After multiple comments and laughter from my boat mates stating it looked like I was performing a karate pose when sitting up front holding a rod in each hand tightlining vertical jigs. It started out with Krappie Fu nickname that morphed in Krappie Krane when they said it looked like the Crane technique from the Karate Kid movie back in the 80’s. A fishing rod in each hand, one foot on the trolling motor, and one foot on the carpet. With me being a little creative and OCD, I drew my profile image to honor what my guests were seeing in the back of the boat and it’s been up since. So the name stuck and gets used on here, GON forum and Instagram and it’s still my favorite way to fish with two rods in a deep vertical presentation.

Just a country boy that likes to fish with crickets and watch a float go down.

Well, mine’s pretty simple... I’m a preacher that loves to jig fish. Been jig fishing for 30 years & preaching for 28!

I am from Missouri, I used to travel shooting competitive Skeet all over the Midwest. My birth year is 56, my boat is a Skeeter. So that made sense to choose Moskeeter56.

Mine is not very imaginative. When I first joined an internet group I didn't want to use my real name, so I used the name of my dog. Zeke, he was a black lab I got in 2000, joined my first forum in probably 2004 or so. When I went to sign up here "Zeke" was already taken so I added pa as the state I live in. Even back then I was trying to keep usernames and passwords simple so I could remember them.

Born in 66 & my name is Ed. In my early 20's a friend of mine called me "Special Ed" at a party for laughs. (I think he meant it to be slightly insulting. You know how young men test each other at times.) Anyway, it didn't bother me & the nickname caught on pretty quickly. It seemed to morph into a term of endearment & some just started calling me "Special" for short. And since some folks are really lazy when it comes to syllables, it eventually got shortened to Sped.
