Whats the lightest sensitive casting jig rod combo for the money out there?

Wow hard question to answer. I have a BnM TCB paired with a BnM Pro 50 Spinning Reel that I absolutely love. It’s probably the lightest rod I have ever owned and really pairs well with the reel. Hope this helps.

Define "for the money". What's your budget?

Agreed, there is definitely a point of diminishing returns, but if you cast all day for a lot of days 400$ combo's may be economical.

That’s a key question. The above TCB rod suggestion with a decent, serviceable reel could be $100, maybe a little less. Too much? What are you looking for $ wise?

To this point in time, my lightest, best rod is the TCB Series Rod, and I paired it with a Mitchell 300 reel. Cost to me was a couple minutes a day to enter into the contest page here on Crappie.Com. Thank you again to the great sponsors we have, Slab for the fore site of putting this together, and the great Moderators for Policing the site and keeping the unwanted and unnecessary mess off the site. I think the rod retails fore somewhere in the neighborhood of $70.00 and the reel I havo on here was in the $35.00 range. Hope this helped...
Oh by the way, just FYI, the TCB stands for Trout, Crappie, and Bluegill...

I use the better quality 5.5ft Ugly Stik - cork handles rod with a 500 series Quantum spinning reel spooled with 4lb NANO line. Throws a 1/16oz jig for miles it seems and super sensitive using the NANO.

Five hundred bucks can get you a reel at 5 ounces and another three to four hundred can get you a rod in the 1.5 ounce range. Up the rod price to about five hundred and you can get a rod just under 1 ounce.
