Default Opinions please on mounting to aluminum boat....

I am fortunate to have recently purchased a livescope and a Garmin 93sv dedicated to just the scope. I am going to mounting to the deck of my aluminum boat using fishing specialties bowducer and for the 93sv a raised aluminum mount I purchased. My boat takes a serious beating at times at the bow when the water is rough and really jars it. Is it a bad idea to use GOOP marine adhesive on the bottom of the bowducer pedestal and the 93sv support in addition to the mounting screws to help prevent dislodging or loosening?

If you can get to the underside of the deck I would use bolts and nuts. A screw by itself could come loose. On my Ranger RT178 I could not get the underside of the deck so had 6x6 1/4 thick plates made and used 8 screws to fasten to the deck. Used short bolts to fasten rod holders to the plates.

Yeah thats the big problem.....I don't have access to the underneath part of the deck.

I would look into using rivnuts. If you do a google search many kits come with an assortment of rivnuts as well as the tool to install them.

If you push jigs and have a rod holder up front consider using a ram mount bolted to the upright of the holder with ubolts.

I will be the odd man out. I use large stainless screws with blue lock tight on everything mounted on my g3 1648 2015 aluminum jon boat and never had my seats, all rod holders, Da Ducer, 3 helix depth finders and trolling motor mounted and never a loose screw. Just be sure to drill the hole small and get the screws to bite as you screw them in. And I abuse my boat when fishing and have to drive it down chip and sealed, patched, rough roads for a few miles to hit a high way each time I fish and get home. Can’t use nuts & bolts either so it’s easiest for me.
