    Default 228 .....

is sure enough a big bunch of thousands for a freshwater boat .
but I suppose in order to keep law and order it must be done .
all I know for sure is it is brand spanking new and looks like one of them Alaskan guide/rescue boats .
that and the twin 300hp BIG girls on the back, complete with capital letters large down the side that says .....
    P O L I C E !
bet it will just about FLY ......

I use to live in Mission TX, about a half mile from the Rio Grande River. A group of us guys would go down to the palapa Thursday afternoons and have a few cold ones while BSing and watch the Texas DPS and Border Patrol boats run up and down, some choppers also. You should see those rigs! With 300HP on the smaller ones and 900HP on the DPS boats...complete with 2-3 machine guns on mounts! Most of the time they would just wave as they went by, but once in a blue moon one would pull in and talk to us. Man...they had some good stories!

naw, they chasing drunk boaters and jet ski riders on Joe Pool.

Actually they said it was needed for boater rescue missions. I seen them go out in rough water conditions a couple of times.

It is a rough water rig for sure , like I said , only spot I ever seen that kinda boat is up there in "the most dangerous " spots up in Alaska .
it looks like a ten foot sea rig or more pretty easily and to be sure on a summer day at the Poole there are some pretty BIG waves

Man, that is some serious horsepower. That said, some water needs something that can hunt down the bad guys, who have unlimited budget for equipment. Then, you have your normal weekend bozos to deal with.

that rig is for the BOZO issues over there , that lake is flat our over run with some really stupid boaters , and it isnt just the party crew either , many of the bass boat "fishing" guys and even several of the crappie chasers are flat out ding dong boaters
been hammered in no wake zones so many times it aint funny on my visits to that spot .
heck we asked one to slow it down on one trip in a no wake zone and he followed us when we left and did circles around us intentionally .
it is that bad over there ...
