Great kayak. I have the Native Watercraft Titan and love it. Good idea on the bmx grips for the back. I think you will enjoy your new kayak. I do lean my seat all the way back when traveling though. Also if your pedaling for a bit I find laying the seat back slightly shifts the angle off your tail bone for easier pedaling but then I like to sit back upright for fishing. I haven't installed an anchor trolley on mine either, actually I haven't had to anchor as much as when I had the paddle kayak. I would also recommend a hand paddle because it's so much easier to turn or go sideways. I just sit it right beside my seat for easy grab and then store. Keep us updated on your progress. Congrats!!!

Not something I will ever have or do, am too old and broken down body to be able to or I probably would think about it.Knees shot so not peddling any place, lol!

Looks great though, just give me a motor and I may have to have someone cut my front deck out and just leave a flat deck so I don't have to get up and down from it. Bought I can even use it now.

They have kayaks now with trolling motors installed. Actually the Native kayaks like the Slayer above and Titan have brackets just switch out the pedal drive for trolling motor.

However I bet you still need to sit down and be able to get back up out of that thing and believe I am past that as sad as that is. Heck now I am not sure I can get up on my front deck and then back down later, well without a lot of pain.

Yes you need to be able to sit and stand. I wouldn't recommend one with bad knees even though these have the higher seats it's still tough sometimes.
