I feel your frustration barbouka- my last trip out I caught 7 and considered it a decent day! Just a thought, MAYBE dropping anchors is scaring them. I know in my lakes, they can move like quail running in an open field! Try spider-rigging or long lining thru the schools with jigs, cranks, or minnows. That's how I catch most all my crappie. Just watch out for brush piles.

New wheels did the trick, I caught two today on curly tail jigs, also a good size bluegill and three small walleye. Walleye were a complete surprise. I knew they were in the lake but didn't expect to catch them so shallow, but I guess it is their time to move shallow. Seems strange catching them in VA. Anyway a good day....for me.

The Sun is shining on you now! It will only get better. I've never ate walleye but hear it's fantastic too.
