    Default Missouri slab

It was slow yesterday, only caught one ten incher in three hours. I tried one spot before I left and hooked into a giant black crappie that got hung in a brush pile and the hook pulled out. A couple casts later I hooked this big girl which measured 16.25". Second biggest crappie I ever released. Was using a 2" Keitech swim bait.Name: IMG_2234.jpg

Wow, JJJ! That girl is a monster. Fat and healthy! Very nice catch, and darn near a PB. Congrats.

That's a Slab, good catch. Use a Gekabijin hook on that jighead?

I used an Orient Sun jig hook. I was using an AJING SaqSas hand tie when I lost the big black crappie so I set that rod down and grabbed the swimbait rod. Glad I switched. Been having problems keeping crappie hooked with the AJING's. Bet I lost a dozen crappie in two days and losing that black crappie was the last straw. No problems losing fish with the regular SaqSas. I release all crappie 14" or over hoping to catch them again when they are even bigger.

Curious as to what you are calling an "Ajing Saq Sas"? Nice fish.....
