    ive got those same rods you won't be dissapointed. on the 7,6 i use 6lbs, sos. that line in my experience builds up a lot less memory than some others do. any spinning reel is gonna have some unless you use braid. for the jig pole i wouldn't put a spinning reel on the back it effects the balance too much for me. i prefer the b&m crappie reels all you need is a line holder but id do prefer the ones that have a drag on them as opposed to one with just an anti-reverse switch. for the jig pole nothing will beat the sensitivity of braid but i wouldn't go over 10lbs and use a fluro or mono leader. my 2 cents

    Sounds like they are going to be keepers! I'm not familiar with "sos" line, although I have had "sos" for breakfast many times while in the ARMY in the early 70s...LOL. What braid are you using? And which reel? I might try that combination to start with. Thanks!
