    Default Any Suggestions?

So I've been reading post about folks using long rods/poles ( 10' or bigger) to swing or dip jigs for crappie while live scoping and what have you. I'm thinking would be cool to try the same idea with heavy braided line, around the rocks and kelp beds for salt water fish at the coast (SW Oregon). Pole would need to have enough back bone to handle an once or two of lead and be able to quickly reef the fish out of the rocks, etc. Fish size would probably be five pounds or less on average. I'm thinking the longer the better, and telescoping would be a nice touch as well. Doesn't need to have to a reel seat as I'm not planning on casting with it, but some sort of line storage would be nice. Does anyone have any suggestions where I might find such a thing?

Do a search on poke poling. That rock fishing technique has been around a long time.
