Glad to hear that. I hit my local WM yesterday and I couldn’t believe how many empty spaces there were on the aisles. A really crummy selection of anything - could be supply chain issues or maybe I’m on the late side. I really didn’t need anything, but something can usually catch your eye. I have been looking for USA sources for Thill floats, but again finding a lot of out of stocks. So far Lurenet had the best selection.

pink 1/16 heads and white 1/16 heads ...
white ,chart and orange primary plastic colors
with a few black and blues for just in case .
AND NEVER fear an extreme head to plastic color combination!
a bottle of Berkley glo white crappie nibbles ....
and fish them like a minnow at first ....less movement typically gets more bites .

What no one mentioned Electric Chicken? We take lots of new folks and if given the chance to choose they usually go with Electric Chicken or Monkey Milk because they like the name, I usually fish double rigs with different colors until we see something they like best. The Black and Chartreuse red and chartreuse plus the electric chicken on our most consistent Like others said, 1/8, 1/16 and 1/8 heads often painted red, chartreuse or white but sometimes plain, and Welcome to a great group

True. Chartreuse or white or some combination of the two will get you a good start.

These are all good suggestions, I,ve fished for years with one ole boy that only caries white, chart, and black tails and 1/16, 1/8 jigs with no paint. He still catches fish.

Well our thread starter here sparked some response. Curious, are we talking about "Lake Crappie" or "River Crappie" fishing? Very different colors for me. I have river tackle boxes and Ross Barnett specific tackle boxes.

I mentioned pink and chartreuse. Probably my favorite dirty water color out there!
