just add cornmeal and salt and pepper to taste

Kind of like the old deer meat saying. Wrap that fish in bacon, cook it up real nice, eat the bacon, and throw the fish away.

This is a published cartoon drawing of me back in the day! The three pound crappie I caught was on the other end of the line. That fish drug me all around the lake and we laughed our butts off because we were just in a ten foot John boat. The very next day, my wife told me to get at least a fourteen foot John boat. Since then I have had three different Seventeen foot foot tracker boats and two other fiberglass boats. That memory of the Crappie dragging me all across the lake is priceless and was captured in a drawing for the local newspaper.

This one is funny too. A caught fish in the fish bucket in the SUV is trying to escape the hot grease and hot sauce awaiting him.
