Now that had to be just plain fun,........ Nothing worse for me is hooking into a big fish and loosing it before I had a chance to at least see what it was.

Happened to me twice a couple weeks ago. Hung into something and it drug my kayak around like a toy a couple of minutes and broke off. Think it was catfish but will never know.

It was an unexpected catch fer sure. I was lucky to be out away from the bank where I could tire the fish out. Came up to the top several times and then back down, must have taken 10-12 minutes before it took two of us to get him in the boat. My friend got his head in the net and I grabbed the tail and we lifted in the boat.

Was fishing floats with minnows for crappie, using Crappie Max 4# line, size 4 Mustad lite wire hooks. That’s what is so great about fishing , you just never know what you will catch.

I believe that is a “Kodak Carp”. They will bite any bait to get in a photo. lol Nice catch.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.
