I only do "one pole jigging" with a 12' BGJP ... which is what I use for jig flipping with Livescope. If I were to be one pole jigging other than with the Livescope, I'd probably use my Sam Heaton SS 10' rod. And I'd only choose that one over my Huckabee Dippin 10' rod, because the thicker handle of the Huckabee seems to wear on my grip faster than the Sam Heaton.

Erin hits on it somewhat. For me it depends on what I am trying to do, size jigs, type of cover and so forth. For the most part I have to put my hands on rods and if they feel comfortable in hand I really do not care what name is printed on them. This is why so many people prefer different rods because it's what make them feel comfortable while fishing. In the end having 5'6" to 8' rod for tight spaces like under bridges, 10-12' for open water structure.

Really depends on how you plan on using it, a lot of good choices out there depending on how deep you plan on fishing and whether you plan on netting fish or boat flipping. Best bet would be to go somewhere and try a bunch.
Personally I lose a lot less fish flipping them straight in the boat and have always preferred a stiffer rod even before I started flipping them all in the boat. I have tried about all the popular brands now and settled on Huckabee rods after all the trial and error. The 10.5ft Huckabee Elite is my favorite all around crappie rod I have owned. But they aren’t for everyone, a little heavier than some and on the more expensive side of the price spectrum.

For Livescope dipping, I like a 13' heavy to extra heavy rod. I bought a couple of B'n'M sticks for myself and my wife last spring and they have been great rods. After hearing about all of the other great options, I bought a Bonestix 13', Huckabee Phantom 13', and ACC 13' with the cork grip. All have Daiwa Tatula LH Flipping reels and Seaguar smackdown 20 lb braid. I'll probably pick up a Jenko Big T X-13 at some point to try out.
I'll figure out pretty quick which ones I like the best and sell the ones I like the least. Fishing rods don't need to be a lifetime purchase. Try a few and see what you like.
