    Default Vulgar ad

I don’t know if y’all realize it or not, but there is a vulgar ad showing up. It’s a sponsored Dr. Oz. I’ve seen other “racy” ads on here too. Anyone else?

Didn’t notice it, but I don’t really look at the ads that much. You can send a note to Slab. You can press the little triangle next to “thank you for this post “ at the bottom of your post.

The google ads program dynamically picks those based on prior searches and what’s on the page you’re looking at. I have almost no control over them. I’m sorry about that. But yes, you can turn off ads by becoming a “supporter”. You’ll also see less ads if you’re logged in.

Well, I’ve never searched for anything remotely similar to what I saw yesterday. But I was on a public network in the Dr’s office. I don’t know if that was it or not. Any way, I was shocked. Thanks for the explanation.

In the past year or two, I have come to the knowledge that many of the ads are based off of prior searches from that same IP address. Others may be based on your location and what others in your area are searching for. It is not solely based on your own search history.

But....I wouldn't think it odd at all to see an ad from Dr. Oz while using the network in a doctor's office.

I have seen the ads spoken of, recently. Due to their content I figured it was some kind of spam ad that Dr. Oz has nothing to do with. I don’t believe I’ve seen them on here but definitely Facebook, I just keep on scrolling.
