Who uses Braid

I found some braid on amazon. Brand name is hercules, but the price has more than doubled since I bought it . I use 10#.

I use Godline braid from Amazon. I can't tell the difference between it and powerpro except for the price. I've been using it for about 3 years. It's on all my reels except for one that I have #6 mono on. I use it in 15# and 12# test.

8lb yellow power pro, no leader. Use a black sharpie to color last 8-10 ft of line. Simple and easy and works.

I like to use the diawa x8 j-braid, 8# test.

I use a 8# fluorocarbon leader and tie it to the braid using a Alberto knot.

Just got done putting new fluorocarbon leaders on all my rods.

Nothing will make me lose my religion faster than fishing braid in a cypress swamp or in button willow bushes. Wraps on every thing it comes close to.

Power Pro Super Slick 10# aqua green with 6# or 8# P Line leader. One thing, if you’re fishing with the temps below 32 the braid will ice up making it difficult to get distance on a cast.

I agree with the 8lb braid and the sharpie trick for casting jigs. I use Hercules braid of different # on all my rods for all species of fish and all types of fishing. The only time I use a leader is when spider rigging. 20# braid comes in handy long line trolling because treble hooks are cheaper than crank baits and most of the time you get your crank baits back. Just my 2 cents

It's been so long that I used mono, that I can't even remember if did also, I figured it did, but you only hear about braid wrapping around tips from people that don't like braid.

not quite true, on EVERY rod we own 7' or less except our 6' B&M Dock Shooters we have a braid of some sort. Just had problems on long rods, using power pro, we have no issues with mono on same rods. Love the size strength and sensitive of braid just not the wraps. To be fair we are likely using lighter braid up here in the clear water than you all use in the mud (6-15 ft visibility here)
