    Very nice. I’d like to handle one that light before I go down that rabbit hole. Good equipment is such a pleasure to use.

    Tried out a couple of matagi rods on lake trout this summer and blanks held up well for open water fish 5-20 lbs. With the ultra tackle need sharp hooks which i started using fudo, sharpest I have found. Though blanks are only rated to 1/8 oz, handled vertical jigging with a 5/8 oz no problem. Used a soare and vanford 500 reels with these light blanks.
