Tracker 175 TF - first time out. Need advice.

Hoping to take my Tracker TF out this weekend.

I was hoping to get some boating advice from the fine thinking folks here.

This will be my first time taking this boat out and really my first “big boat”.

Owned smaller Jon boats for years but finally was able to purchase a new boat.

Any help would be appreciated.

Any boating tips please. From unloading at the ramp to bringing it back to the ramp.

Break the motor in correctly.
Warm it up each time you crank it before you take off.
Just find the sweet spot to load and unload. Mine is the trailer fenders about 1 inch out of the water.
Take your time and you'll be fine.

Don’t forget the plug haha I went from a 1436 Jon to a 175 tracker myself a few years back. Just take your time don’t rush it and you will get it figured out... not much difference just a little bigger

Ramp courtesy.
Get your boat unhooked and loaded BEFORE you get into the ramp waiting line. Some boaters get really upset if people ahead of them take too long. Sometimes words and hand gestures are traded.

The first ding hurts! The second less, the third lesser and so on. It's gonna get dinged up!

as mentioned the drain plug ,the prep BEFORE you are on the ramp , breaking in the motor according to directions, tilt up a bit and not all the way down coming and going onto the trailer and last but not least life jackets ,throw cushions and the other safety stuff .
a long paddle and an anchor with a long rope .
if possible remember when you were in the john when a motored boat went by you ......

Sweet rig! Have fun and enjoy it. In addition to the great info provided, the best advice I can give you is for loading your boat. And you might already know this from owning jon boats, but don’t back your trailer in too far. I see a lot of folks that submerge the trailer and have a tough time getting the boat loaded correctly. The best advice I can give is to leave the side guides about 1/2 way out and drive the boat on the trailer.
