Garmin 93sv uhd if you can wait til the bps fishing show in early March. Then if you can swing a livescope you will be ready.

Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

Agree wholeheartedly. I have one and it's the best bang for the buck out there right now. Also works with Livescope if you ever decide to get one. That is the same prices as last Black Friday!

I apologize guys, but I’m a little uneducated about the latest technology. So you can buy the unit in the link (Garmin) use it with a regular transducer and convert to live scope later?

Yeah. I use it with the transducer that came with it. I went this route in case I wanted to add Livescope later on. Bought 2 of them on sale about a year ago, networked them together, & have been very pleased so far.

He was referring to the Helix 7 you mentioned as having a good screen image.

Actually you can "add" Livescope (there's a port for it marked Panoptix) .... But if you have the transducer for the sonar AND the Livescope plugged in, you'll have to use a split screen or switch screens to view more than one option at a time (like map, sonar, Livescope).

The 4 ports in the back of the unit are -- Power -- NMEA -- Sonar -- Panoptix

The 4 Pre-set buttons on the front of the unit can be configured to switch or spilt screen options with one touch of that button, rather than doing it from the HOME/MENU pages.
