I have seen all sorts of horror stories about boats near sinking and other terrible incidents of collisions with other boats and various other objects in the water.
The thing that is most common to each and every one of those awful stories is: They all start out the same way... "It was a day like any other... when suddenly..."
The scary part is: No one ever has a clue that misfortune can rear its ugly head in just seconds... anytime, any day, and any place.
Thankfully no one was hurt and you were able to limp back to the ramp without further loss or injury.
Take heart Brother "D"... your luck is overdue for a change in the right direction. Prayin' that it does.

Talk about bad luck, you've had your share. At least you made it back and the boat can be fixed.

Thanks friends. Redge the repairman said the bill came to $1005 but he decided to take the $5 off. I told him he could have the hole for the $5.All it will cost me is $262.50 deductible. They gave me 25% off my $350 deductible.(I know weird number, but I am insured for $35k and it is a % deductible of 1 or 3 for storms.) Anyway, goes in shop Monday, should be heading to Toledo Bend Wednesday. And I wanted to report I had some good luck today . We received our federal $1200 check we thought we would not see. Been waiting for it, now gonna call BBG and order an Ultrex.

Now that I know everythings good I can do a little teasing.

5 feet of water when it happened, if you had gone down at least the top of your head would have stayed dry. Barely.

Glad to hear you're safe and your boat can be fixed fast. That's hardly the way any fishing trip should go. I hope you're on the other side of the misfortune and things start going good for you in a big way.
