    I agree. That goes for jigs and crankbaits. Colder means slower most times.

    Watched Brad Chappell's seminar at Grizzly Jig about long lining, it's also on youtube. Good video about long lining, and while i've never done this, think I might give it a try.

    I use it some but it doesn’t consume the way I fish at ant given time. I fish for the enjoyment and the fish are a bonus. Frequently release all I catch, or make a shorebound angler happy. There’s times I need a bunch of fish and I fatten the freezer, and longline delivers, more often than not.

    Great in my book. I love to pull size 6 Rapala Husky Jerk cranks in Glass Minnow color along edges of protected south facing flats adjacent to deep water on calm warmer sunny days in winter. Now, all I need is a day nice enough to get out after 'em.

    I’m going to try long line this year has anyone used a float on your rig while trolling?
