If you like to single pole but your bow mount trolling motor prop wash blows into the structure your trying to fish here is a solution being made for myself. I'm left handed so hold my pole in my left hand when single pole fishing. When the wind blows me into the structure I want to fish the prop wash from the trolling motor invariably spooks the fish. My boat is rigged for all types of fishing, I have a Motorguide 70# X3 foot control TM, and a Minn Kota Ultrex TM that share the same spot on my bow. I swap them out when iPilot features are needed. The rod holder racks I fabricated pop off with the turn of a few set screws, the new trolling motor mount I'm making will be for a transom mount trolling motor. I still have to weld the clamp spot on. The great thing about having the trolling motor on the off side is the prop wash hits the boat and deflects downward. Stealth! Anyway pictures are worth a thousand works. More will be posted after completion. I had to add a RAM Mount ball on the Port side for the Panoptix Transducer Stick too.

Well done, lots of thought went into that.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
Finished it up yesterday. We have a NIP Tide starting tomorrow thru Thursday, the 4 day time of the month. Anyway I will upload pictures with the trolling motor on and in action. Sometimes between NIP Tides I catch myself wishing my life away anticipating the next one.
Nice fab work.

Well today I was able to get out to try my contraption out. As expected, no prop wash problems now. Having the variable speed and direction was wonderful with constant wind speed changes. Gusts that would blown me around was no problem. Also instant speed corrections allowed superb boat control. I laid the trolling motor down to run distance but just pulled it up as I navigated the river with all the water out with the tide. Overall I like my foot control better for fishing the deep stuff since it allows me to use 2 jig poles but for single poling the side mount is going to be the Bomb!
